Kim Cunio and Heather Lee, musicians

Kim Cunio and Heather Lee perform Islamic music from Central Asia to the Middle East alongside traditional music from Armenia. These pieces are striking for the depth of their melodic content and vocal beauty.

Samorn Sanixay, silk expert

Samorn Sanxiay co-founded Eastern Weft, a fair trade weaving cooperative based in Laos, which revives the art of hand-spun, hand-dyed silk textiles. She discusses the creation of silk textiles form silkworms to the finished product.
