Richard Beresford discusses Claude Lorrain's Pastoral landscape 1636-67. Part of the Picturing the land series of focus talks centred on key works in the collection. These short talks will involve discussussion of some of the techniques and pictorial conventions employed in the art of landscape as part of the lead-up to the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ major exhibition, Monet and the Impressionists.
